The leader of the Dallas County Hospital outlines several construction upgrades set to take place this year.

Chief Executive Officer Angela Mortoza explains that the hospital will witness the sterilization area change by transforming a meeting room into a locker room, and then working to widen the space for patients. She also reveals that the emergency department is being remodeled with the plan to add a treatment and consult room, and finally, the patient access aerial is getting a makeover. Mortoza tells Raccoon Valley Radio that she’s hopeful that these upgrades will keep support local.

“So much of the care provided in bigger cities can be completed here at Dallas County Hospital. Whether it’s ultrasounds and ecocardigrams, or heart and lung care, there’s so much here at DCH. We’re here to help and to offer solutions, so that you don’t have to travel out of town to seek that.”

Mortoza illustrates that the building projects to the multiple facilities will be done between the months of February and June.
