An athlete from the Raccoon River Wrestling Team recalls achieving a huge milestone in her high school career during this current season.

RRW senior Naomi Templeman is trying to get back to the state tournament in her final year before graduation. She was able to acquire her 100th win at The Clash National Duals in La Crosse, Wisconsin earlier this month. Templeman tells Raccoon Valley Radio that she is happy that her hard work is paying off.

“It felt good that all my hard work got to be shown not just through winning, but through winning 100 times. It’s nice to be able to have like a physical like ‘oh, I got my 100th win,’ and I put in that work to do that.”

Templeman highlights that learning new takedowns was a priority in the offseason, and she’s been incorporating them throughout the year. She is grateful to have met so many wonderful wrestlers in the state of Iowa, forming unbreakable friendships. Templeman shares that she’s remaining discipline to her work ethic as she is aiming to go out on top for her senior season. RRW will be competing at Atlantic High School for the Swat Invite tomorrow at 10am.
