The Crafty’s Coffee and Gifts Player of the game was Camdyn Richter, who was the lead scorer on the night, and finished with a double-double. After the game, she shared what she thought went well with Raccoon Valley Radio.
“I thought our run game was pretty good. I just didn’t really finish but we’ll work on that more in practice. Honestly just finishing through the first half was pretty good and we were just trying to be strong with the ball and our shots were falling.”
In the boys game, the Chargers got out to an early lead, finishing the first quarter up 20-13. The lead only grew in the second quarter, as the score going into halftime was 40-21 in favor of AC/GC. In the third quarter, the lead grew again, as the Chargers extended the lead to 60-25. In the fourth quarter, the lead once again was widened, and the game finished with a 71-31 victory for the Chargers.
The Dub P Apparel Elite Fit Play of the Game came off a few assists by Jathan South, who threw some no-look passes to teammates who then scored. The Crafty’s Coffee and Gifts Player of the game was Payton Policky, who secured a double-double while also leading all scorers on the night. He shared his thoughts on the selflessness of South on some of his assists.
“Oh man, he’s really improved his passing game a lot and being able to find us, it’s just really improving the team overall and he did a really good job of finding his open teammates tonight.”
The Chargers will be back in action, as they head to Clarinda on Monday to face off against the Cardinals. The Raccoon Valley Radio Sports Network will follow the teams, broadcasting the game on the KKRF2 online live stream.
