Last night the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs boys basketball team traveled to Ankeny Centennial High School for varsity basketball action against the Jaguars. The Mustangs would face a hard nosed Jaguar team, and fell to the Jaguars 80-49.

The Jaguar defense would keep the Mustangs and Kyle Cason contained, only allowing Cason to score 11 in the first half, and the Mustangs 21 as a whole. The Jaguars would use their speed and ball movement to score 39 in the first half. With the score at 39-21, the Mustangs would begin to chip away at the lead in the third but the Jaguars would begin to rain threes as Sam Turks would help the Jaguars run away with an 80-49 victory only allowing the Mustangs to score 28 in the second half.

The Mustangs are back in action today as they travel to Gilbert High School for the Gilbert Showcase Saturday Tournament. The Mustangs face off against Gilbert first at 4:30pm.
