The AC/GC Chargers boys wrestling team participated in the John J. Harris Invitational in Corning Friday and Saturday.

Only two wrestlers placed, with Chase Slaybaugh taking 6th in the 120 weight class, and Carter Richter taking 5th in the 190 weight class. Slaybaugh received a bye in the first round, then won by major decision over Louis Waite of Missouri Valley, before falling to Max Millage of Earlham. He then worked his way up the consolation bracket by first beating Cobyn Snyder of Panorama by fall, taking down Krey Hunt of Central Decatur by major decision, then losing by technical fall in the fourth round of consolation to Matt Genobana of Centerville. Slaybaugh then was placed in the fifth place match, and fell to Kylen Parsons of Creston.

Richter also received a bye in the first round, then won by fall over Jayden Meyers of Creston before losing by decision to Donavan Hedrington of Atlantic. On the consolation side of the bracket, he then beat Gaven Hackett of Riverside by fall, and Tatian Freeman of Wayne by major decision, before losing by major decision to Jordan Martin-England in the fourth round of consolation. Richter then won by decision over Sam McDonald of Winterset.
