A Perry man died in a single vehicle rollover crash early Saturday morning.

According to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, deputies, along with the Perry Police Department, Woodward Fire Department and Dallas County Emergency Medical Services responded to the intersection of Highway 141 and R Avenue near Woodward at 2:31am. The Sheriff’s Office says first responders found a 2005 Chevrolet Impala that had struck a utility pole and rolled multiple times into a field. 

The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office reports that the driver, 22-year-old Josue Curiel of Perry, was found dead inside the vehicle. Curiel’s body was transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for further investigation. The Sheriff’s Office says the cause and what led to the wreck remains under investigation.
