Klaus Finkenstaedt, Lincoln NE, was driving on I80 near the 111 mile marker. Mr. Finkenstaedt, was in the left lane due to a stalled vehicle being in the right lane. A semi, driven by Jeffery Knuth, Black River Fall, WI, was driving on the right lane when he crested the hill. In an effort to avoid striking the stalled vehicle, he merged into the left lane, striking Mr. Finkenstaedt’s vehicle. No injuries were reported and damage was estimated to Mr. Finkenstaedt’s vehicle at $5000. No damage was seen on the semi. The vehicles were able to be driven from the scene.
Jeffery Hobbs, age 37, 13238 McGregor St, Indianola, was arrested on a warrant for 3 counts of Contempt – Violation Of No Contact Order.
Garrett Sayre, age 33, 1600 NW 114th St, Clive, was arrested on a warrant for Violation Of Probation Terms.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation, the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
