
Spare Time Lanes in Jefferson saw Greene County host OABCIG (Ida Grove) in high school bowling. The Rams were swept by the Falcons with a girls’ final of 1,897-1,813 and the boys’ score was 2,856-2,690. OABCIG is 4-3 in girls’ bowling and 3-4 on the boys’ side. The Rams are 1-7 in girls’ bowling and 5-3 for the boys.
Sophomore Chase Fecher and junior Teagan Chisholm led the Rams and were just one pin apart. Fecher shot 236-181=417 and Chisholm rolled 197-219=416. Sophomore Calvin Fields had a two game series of 335 and his brother, senior Lane Fields, was next at 334. Rounding out the Greene County lineup was sophomore Trystan Cummings 294 and frshman Ryan Bills at 243. The Rams were without two of their regular varsity bowlers. OABCIG sophomore Chase Miesner had the top series of the day at 445 with games of 225-220.
Greene County’s girls were led in scoring by junior Rozella Helms with a 291 series and games of 161-120. Senior Allison Fields had a 267 series. Junior Elizabeth Hoefling of OABCIG had the high series of the day at 305 and the high game of 163.
