The coaches from the Raccoon River Wrestling Team are being honored for their dedication.

The Iowa Wrestling Coaches and Officials Associations recently announced that RRW is the Central District’s Coaching Staff of the Year for the 2024-25 season. Head Coach James Biscoglia is appreciative of the work that each individual on the staff contribute to propelling the program to where it is now.

“I can’t say enough about the fact that we have so many coaches. A lot of depth on the coaching staff and then even a couple of volunteers. Very excited by our coaching staff and very honored and humbled that the central district chose to honor us by nominating us to the state.”

In addition to Biscoglia, RRW is joined by Joe Burch, Derek Holschlag, Samantha Moore, Rylee Rodish, Kiersten Bush, Wes Duncan, and Luke Timm. The coaches will help RRW prepare for the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union Regional competition this Friday, that will be hosted at Waukee Northwest High School.
