The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.

The Board heard from the Guthrie County Compensation Commission, taking their recommendations under consideration as they continue to work through the fiscal year 2025-26 budget, then approved a letter of support for an application by Guthrie County Conservation in conjunction with Greene County Conservation for a Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation grant for a project on the Raccoon River Valley Trail. They also approved resolutions adopting the first budget amendment for fiscal year 2024-25, along with the appropriation necessary for the amendment.

The Board then approved being a signatory to the Dallas/Madison/Guthrie/Adair County Highway Safety Improvement Program Funding Agreement, the new dust control policy and permit process, then tabled a decision on the annual resolutions for rate of compensation for fence and right-of-way and temporary easement purchase rates to next week. They finished off the meeting by canceling the January 30th meeting, as three Supervisors would be traveling to take part in a statewide supervisors conference, therefore making a quorum unavailable for the meeting.
