
Paton-Churdan’s boys’ basketball team was a 68-41 winner in Churdan vs. West Harrison (Mondamin) on Tuesday night in Rolling Valley Activities Conference play. The Rockets improved to 6-9 on the season and they put the five game losing streak behind them while the Hawkeyes fell to 1-16.
Sophomore Trevon Keely poured in 31 points with 15 from junior Phoenix Hartman. Sophomore Bryce Stephenson added eight points with six from Kinnick Steimel, five by Damen Rice and three for Patrik Wolterman. Unofficially, Steimel led the team in rebounds with seven, followed by five each by Hartman, Wolterman, and Stephenson. The Rockets led 28-16 at the half.
WH does not have a girls’ team this season. Next up for the Rockets is a Thursday night girl/boy doubleheader with West Central Valley (Stuart) in Churdan.
