The Brenton Arboretum in Dallas Center is making upgrades to better suit guests in 2025.

According to Executive Director Melissa Burdick, the organization recently installed new toilets for people to use near the nature play area. She points out that the Brenton Arboretum is restructuring the roads in a way that people are encouraged to stop by the visitor center. Burdick hopes that by doing so, people will be able to get a full grasp of what the organization has to offer.

“Right now, a lot of people, when they come in, they go straight in, straight to where they want to enjoy and they just have the same experience that they’ve always had. If they can stop in and chat with us, we can tell them about what’s in bloom, places or paths they maybe not have been on before, and really help enrich the experience and expand it beyond what they maybe used to.”

Burdick explains that staff members will be able to share updates on the programming as well as the benefits of becoming a member. The Brenton Arboretum is open seven days a week from 9am to sunset.
