A rare Thursday night game will be played in the Heart of Iowa Conference as Perry travels to Prairie City Monroe.  The two squads will meet for the final time this year tonight after being postponed on January 21st.

Perry will look for revenge in the girl/boy doubleheader.  On December 10, The Jayettes fell 55-27 while the Bluejays lost 73-58.

The PCM girls are ranked 10th in the 3A polls and sit at 15-2.  Their 11-1 record in the Heart of Iowa Conference is the best mark this season.  The Mustangs have 3 girls averaging in double figures:  Tori Lindsay 13.1, Libby Winters 12.2, and Addison Steenhoek 10.6.

The boys match up features two teams, who are 7-5 in conference.  That record puts Perry and PCM tied for third in the Heart of Iowa C0nference.  The Bluejays blew a 10 point half time lead in round one as they were outscored by 25 in the final 16 minutes.  VanGorp exploded for 29 points for the Mustangs.  Coach Morris doesn’t think that will happen again.  “We’re not going to let him get hot again, that’s going to be one of the things.  Don’t let him get open and get shots off and feel comfortable.”

Tipoff is set for 6P with the Perry Hy Vee Pregame show at 5:45P on the Raccoon Valley Radio Sports Network and KDLS.
