The wrestling season will conclude for most tonight as District competition will take place around the state for the girls.  Perry will be at Colfax as they hope to have numerous qualifiers at the State Meet next week in Coralville.  Colfax-Mingo High School will be a busy place with 19 schools in attendance.  A bracket style tournament will be held for each of the fourteen weight classes.  Only the two top girls in each class will qualify to wrestle at Xtream Arena.  The Jayettes return to state qualifiers, Mercedes Ponce and Julie Maylum.  They both have the goal to return this season, but they aren’t the only ones who might punch their ticket.  Head Coach, TJ Maylum, is hopeful a combination of Harper Peterson, Amelie Canales, Cate Erickson, and Ayden Erickson will also make it.  Action begins tonight at 4P.
