Last night the Panorama Panthers hosted the Exira-EHK Spartans for double header basketball action. The Panthers split the decision with the Spartans, with the Panther girls falling 66-46 while the Panther boys would come back in the forth to win 56-51

In the girls contest, the Panthers would constantly stay on the heels of the Lady Spartans but would not be able to retake the lead, falling to Exira-EHK 18-11 to end the first. The Panthers would continue to fight and cut down the lead going into the half, scoring 19 points to bring the halftime score to 36-30 in favor of the Spartans. In the second half, Exira-EHK would begin to run away with the lead, scoring 15 points per quarter while holding the Panthers to only 16 in the second half to claim a 66-46 victory over Panorama.

In the boys contest, the Panthers would also score 11 in the first, and squeeze by securing a 1 point lead over the Spartans. The Panthers, would continue to extend their lead in the second, holding the Spartans to only 9 points while scoring 14 of their own to secure a 25-19 lead going into the halftime break. In the second half, the Spartans would begin to chip away at the lead, taking a 41-40 lead to start the fourth. Panorama would fire up in the final quarter, scoring 16 points to claim a 56-51 victory over Exira-EHK.

The Panther basketball boys are back in action tonight as the Panthers host the Woodward Academy Knights. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30pm.
