
Last night the West Central Valley Wildcat basketball teams traveled to Churdan to Paton-Churdan High School to face off against the Rockets. The Wildcat girls took the lead in the first and never looked back, claiming a 49-12 victory over the Rockets.
In the girls contest, West Central Valley would pick up the lead in the first and never looked back. The Wildcat defense seemed to be firing on all cylinders the entire contest, holding the Rockets to 0 points in the first, and 6 in the second. The Wildcats would take a 17-0 lead at the end of the first, and take a 26-6 lead going into the halftime break. To start the third, the Wildcats would continue to keep the momentum, scoring 18 points while holding the Rockets to only 4 bringing the score to 44-10 to start the fourth. West Central Valley would hold Paton-Churdan to only 2 points in the final quarter, to claim a 49-12 victory.
The Wildcat basketball teams are back in action today as they host the Van Meter Bulldogs for double header basketball action. The girls tip off first at 6pm.
