Seven individuals are elected, with staggered terms, to the Greene County Medical Center Board of Trustees and the CEO is grateful for how well they work together.

CEO Chad Butterfield is pleased with how the senior team communicates with the board, presents ideas to them and for their unique perspectives to help drive large decisions at the medical center.

“We really try to work well as a team together to make sure that the patient is always top of mind, the highest quality is there, and that really the financial sustainability of the organization for the community is consistently up there with quality as an important need to be met.”

Butterfield notes that each board member also attends frequent education programs and training with the Iowa Hospital Association and they maintain their educational hours to annually achieve their training certifications. The seven member board includes Jim Schleisman as president, Doug Hawn as vice president, along with Bill Raney who serves as the secretary and treasurer, Doug Carman, Kim Bates, Kate Neese, and Angie Jewett.
