
Greene County fell 82-13 in girls’ basketball and 55-22 in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference boys’ basketball in Story City on Friday night vs. Roland-Story. The Rams fell to 0-18 in girls’ hoops and 0-13 in the league while the Greene County boys are now 1-12 in the HOIAC and 3-15 overall.
The R-S girls are 16-2 overall, 12-1 in the conference and rated seventh in Class 3A while the Norsemen boys are 5-13, 5-8. Claire Truesdell of R-S had 24 points, 11 more than the entire Greene County team. Sara Morlan led the Rams in scoring with five points. The Rams didn’t score until the second quarter and they trailed 34-0 by the time they did score. The Greene County boys trailed 27-14 at halftime, scored the first two points of the third quarter, then did not score again until they trailed 53-16, a run of 26 straight points by the home team. Luke Thorson had 25 points for R-S, three more than the entire Ram team. Adam Bills came off the bench to lead the Rams ins coring with six points.
