Perry girls wrestling had their District competition last night.  The Jayettes will be sending 4 to Coralville.  Merces Ponce and Julie Maylum will be competing at Xtream Arena for a second straight year.  Cate and Ayden Erickson punched their tickets to wrestle at State, too.  Harper Peterson (100) finished one win short of qualifying after taking third.  Mercedes won her weight class of 105. Following her first match, she won her 100th match.   Cate (115), Ayden (125), and Julie (155) claimed second in their brackets.

Perry will wrestle in the evening session on Thursday, February 6.  The Raccoon Valley Radio Sports Network will be live on KDLS for the entire tournament next week.
