A Pisgah woman was recently arrested for an alleged assault incident in Grand Junction.

According to court documents, the Greene County Sheriff’s Office investigated the alleged incident on November 26, 2024 from a residence in Grand Junction. The victims told investigators that 57-year-old Elaine Norgart wanted her vehicle back that the victims were using. The affidavit states that as the victims were removing personal items from the vehicle, Norgart got into the driver seat and put the vehicle in reverse and knocked over one of the victims and the other victim punched the rear window as a reactionary movement.

Court documents show that Norgart then accelerated the vehicle forward at the victims, who got out of the way, and then the suspect drove off. After reviewing nearby security camera footage, investigators were able to corroborate the victims’ claims, and there were visible injuries to the victims. Investigators tried calling Norgart on December 9th, but there was no answer. An arrest warrant was issued on December 16th, charging Norgart with a Class D Felony for willful injury-causing bodily injury and an aggravated misdemeanor for assault while displaying a dangerous weapon. She was additionally charged with a simple misdemeanor for violation of a no contact order where Norgart was the protected party.

Norgart was arrested on February 5th and booked into the Greene County Jail. A no contact order is also in place with the victims. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
