Greene County High School senior Kamden Kinne has accepted an invitation to play for the South team in the 2025 Iowa Shrine Bowl All-Star Football Game. The contest is set for the air-conditioned UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls on Saturday, July 19. Matt Straight of Logan-Magnolia is the South head coach.

Kinne was a second team All-State Selection for Greene County last Fall and played both offensive and defensive line for the Rams, who went 5-5, qualified for the Class 2A playoffs and won in the round of 32 to advance to the round of 16 where they lost to eventual semifinalist PCM. Kinne was a team Captain and instrumental in the success of the team, according to head coach Caden Duncan, who told Raccoon Valley Radio Kinne hasn’t been informed yet which side of the ball he’ll play on.

Duncan added that Kinne is the fourth Shrine Bowl player in Duncan’s six years heading the Greene County program and 2025 marks the fourth year in a row the Rams have had a player selected.

Proceeds from the Shrine Bowl go to Shrine Children’s Hospitals and Clinics.
