A Funeral Mass for Doris Kennedy, 88, of Jefferson will be 10:30 am Thursday, February 13, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jefferson.  Interment will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Jefferson.  There will be a Catholic Daughter’s Rosary at 4:30 pm on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Slininger-Schroeder Funeral Home in Jefferson.  The family will greet friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Slininger-Schroeder Funeral Home.  Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Slininger-Schroeder Funeral Home is assisting the family.  Online condolences may be left at www.sliningerschroeder.com.

She is survived by her children: Becky Kennedy of Mediapolis, IA, Denise (Dean) Promes of Jefferson, IA, and Thomas Kennedy of Jefferson, IA; sisters:  Darlene Taggart, Lucille Cadwell, and Harriett (Byron) Paup; eight grandchildren: Tiffany (John) Hupp, Kayla Promes, Joe Promes, Jennifer (Chris) Serrato, Marissa Promes, Hannah Promes, Michael Kennedy, and Nathan Kennedy; six great-grandchildren: Zachary, Easton, Jett, and Blakely Hupp, and Lyanna and Luca Serrato; daughter-in-law, Diane Kennedy of Jefferson ,IA; brother-in-law, Dick (Janet) Kennedy of Jefferson, IA; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
