The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Basketball teams got a couple of victories in Boone on Tuesday.

ADM girls won 57-13 over Boone, while the boys dominated 86-57. In the girls game, the Tigers got out to a quick 13-1 start, but the Toreadors ended the quarter on a quick 5-0 spurt as they trailed 13-6 at the end of the first quarter. In the second, ADM held Boone scoreless until the last 30 seconds with two free throws from senior Sydney Adams, with the Tigers on top 24-8 at the half. ADM increased the offensive efficiency, scoring 24 points to take a commanding 48-11 lead into the final frame. The Tigers would roll on to a 57-13 victory.

ADM was led by senior Aniston Tollari, who had 16 points on the night, followed by sophomore Emma Worley with nine, and junior Madelyn Roundcount with seven points. Boone was led by Adams with seven points. The Tigers improve to 13-8 (9-6 inside the Raccoon River Conference), and the Toreadors fall to 5-16 overall (0-15 RRC).

In the boys game, ADM exploded out at the gate as they tallied 25 points in the opening quarter to lead 25-7 after the first. The second quarter continued with the Tigers foot on the gas peddle, taking a 46-20 advantage into the halftime break. Both teams continued to score in the third quarter with ADM leading 65-40 to begin the fourth. During the final eight minutes, the Tigers would outscore the Toreadors 21-17 to win 86-57.

ADM was led in scoring by junior Hudson Lorensen with 28 points, as junior Hudson Shull tallied 14, and it was freshman Walker Holmberg with 11 points. Boone was charged by senior Wes Van Pelt with 16 points, followed by senior Braden Brooks’ 12. The Tigers move to 15-4 on the year (12-3 RRC), and the Toreadors drop to 7-12 overall (3-12 RRC). Next game for Boone is on Friday hosting North Polk and ADM will be in Adel taking on Carlisle for senior night.
