
Last night the Panorama Panthers made the journey to Ogden High School for double header basketball action against the Bulldogs and split the decision. The Panther girls found glory against the Bulldogs, defeating Ogden 51-17 while the Panther boys would battle hard but fall 67-35 to Ogden.
The Panther girls would have an electric start in the first quarter, scoring 19 points while the Panther defense seemed to have every answer for the Bulldogs, holding Ogden to only 2 points in the first. Panorama would continue to dominate in the second, scoring 14 points in the second to hold on to a 33-9 lead going into the halftime break. Coming back from the break, the Panther girls would score 13 more in the third and 5 more in the fourth to claim a 51-17 victory over the Ogden Bulldogs.
The Panther boys found themselves in a tough battle since the opening buzzer, finding themselves down by 11 at the end of the first 20-9. The Bulldogs continued to hold onto their lead in the second, holding the Panthers to only 9 points again to claim a 34-19 lead going into the halftime break. The Bulldogs would continue to contain the Panthers in the second half, holding Panorama to 7 points in the third and 9 in the fourth resulting in Panorama falling to Ogden 67-35.
The Panther girls advance to 11-10 while the Panther boys fall to 3-18. This match repeats for the Panther girls on Saturday for the first round of regionals action as the Panthers face off against the Bulldogs at 7pm at Ogden High School on Saturday.
