
An organization in the Adel area was recently awarded additional funding in support of the aftermath from the devastating storms last year.
According to the Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) Board of Directors, the Crisis Intervention and Advocacy Center was awarded $59,237 from a special allocation of the Rapids Unsheltered Survivor Housing (RUSH) funding from the federal Emergency Solutions Grant Program. The Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) is providing assistant efforts, given the tornados that impacted Dallas County. The Crisis Intervention and Advocacy Center was given the funding to assist with those impacted by the tornadoes in the Dallas County area. IFA officials say the other grant recipient was the New Visions Homeless Services in Council Bluffs for $88,855.
