The Stuart People Active for Library Service are holding a fundraiser to benefit the Stuart Public Library today and tomorrow.
PALS member Carol Brewer says that the group wanted to hold a fundraiser, and after discussing one held by one of the members church, they decided on the Valentines Goode Box fundraiser. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio where the proceeds from the event will go.
“The money from this event is going to go toward children’s educational programs at the library. So we have a purpose not only to have fun and spread some sugar into the community, but to also help the library in promoting a lot of their children’s programs, which they do a lot right now, but this maybe will add some extra funding into those programs. So we’re pretty excited about both of those things.”
Brewer mentions that the boxes can be purchased by cash or check at the library during their open hours today and tomorrow, with the price of a large box set for $10, and $7 for a small box.
