No injuries were reported in a snow plow truck versus semi crash in Greene County Wednesday morning. 

According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Jeffrey Gorman of Ogden was cited for failure to yield the right of way, after he was heading south on Iowa Highway 144 and was turning into the eastbound lane on US Highway 30 when the 2012 International snow plow that is owned by the Iowa Department of Transportation that Gorman was driving hit the rear axles of a 2019 Kenworth semi with a 2021 Brenner Tanker that has soybean oil in it, that was heading east on Highway 30 and driven by Cole Wenger of Dedham.

The Sheriff’s Office says the semi and tanker struck the railroad crossing arms and rolled onto its side into the south ditch. No one was injured in the crash and the semi and tanker was a total loss and the DOT plow truck had $2,000 of damages. Additionally, the Sheriff’s Office reports there was $50,000 to fix the railroad crossing and $2,000 for the damaged guardrail. Grand Junction Rescue and Greene County Ambulance assisted at the scene.
