Day two of the Iowa High School State Wrestling Tournament saw seven wrestlers from the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area win and advance to the semifinals on Friday. The quarterfinals and two rounds of consolation matches were wrestled on Thursday, starting with Class 3A in the morning, then 1A during the afternoon, and 2A at night.

Henry Mohr of Waukee Northwest at 285 lbs. is the lone 3A wrestler from our area to advance to the semifinals where he will face the top seed in Cooper Martinson of Southeast Polk (Runnells) in today’s semifinals. Mohr is seeded fourth.

In 1A, 2024 State Champion Ashton Honnold of Nodaway Valley at 215 lbs. is the top seed, as is the Wolverines’ Trenton Warner at 285.
