The next big event for the Perry Chamber of Commerce is happening in March, as they are encouraging the public to participate.

According to Communications Coordinator Tiffany Olejniczak, the chamber is currently taking applications for the annual Big Boom Bracket Battle to help raise money for the 4th of July Fireworks Drive. She describes the event as a bracket-style contest that will put community members in a head-to-head competition, allowing them to advance depending on the amount of donations they receive. Olejniczak explains that people can nominate themselves or someone else, with the elimination round beginning on March 1st, with the initial announcement on the chamber’s Facebook page. 

She outlines that pictures will need to be submitted and the top 16 individuals with the most “likes” will move onto the “Sweet-as-Pie 16,” where the fundraising will come into play. Nominations are due by the end of the day on Wednesday, February 26th by emailing Olejniczak at Tiffany@PerryIAChamber.org or contact the Perry Chamber’s Office at (515)-465-4601.
