
An Ogden man was arrested from an investigation that happened with the Jefferson Police Department from March of 2024.
According to court documents, a Jefferson Police Officer was investigating a theft incident on March 7th where the victim reported their purse was missing from their home in Jefferson. The victim told the officer about an unauthorized debt card purchase made for gasoline at a gas station in Grand Junction for a total of $53.53. The officer reviewed video surveillance from the business between the hour of the time the receipt for the purchase was made.
The criminal complaint states that the officer saw a male that allegedly made the purchase, which the victim later identified, and a positive identification match was made to the alleged suspect when the officer obtained a driver’s license photo. Court documents show that the officer spoke with another individual that said the suspect admitted to stealing the purse and using the debt card without permission.
An arrest warrant was issued on April 17th charging 47-year-old Craig Arthur was a Class C Felony for second degree burglary, an aggravated misdemeanor for unauthorized use of a credit card under $1,500, and two simple misdemeanors for fifth degree theft. Arthur was arrested in Polk County on April 30th and was recently booked into the Greene County Jail on February 20th. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
