Three students from Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School are being recognized with academic honors in agriculture.
ADM FFA Member Kelsey Greenslade tells Raccoon Valley Radio that herself, along with Payton Taylor and Hayley Hick are receiving Iowa Degrees. She explains that it is the highest achievement given out by the Iowa FFA, as the next level would be the American Degree from National FFA. Greenslade illustrates that the Iowa Degrees are related to the Supervised Agricultural Experiences by the students throughout their high school career and the projects they’ve been able to complete. She is happy to continue building on ADM’s legacy for FFA.
“It’s a really cool experience. I think we’ve had a lot of members in our history of chapter get them and so it’s exciting to add more to that.”
Greenslade mentions that the degrees will be presented at the Iowa FFA Leadership Conference in mid-April in Ames.
