With the month of February ending soon, the Jefferson Public Library Adult Department has a unique program for people to enjoy.

Library Director Jane Millard says in honor of February being Library Lovers Month, she has been encouraging people to go on a “Blind Date With a Book.”

“We’ve done this for a few years now and everybody really has a lot of fun with it. The books are hidden, you don’t know what you’re checking out, we got red bags. And you come into the library and there’s a table full of books that are in bags. And you can check them out and take them on a date for the month of February.”

Millard adds that when you are done reading the book, fill out the “rate your date” card and those who do that will be entered into a drawing for prizes.
