The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys Basketball team closed out their final regular season game with a win, thanks to a big performance from junior Hudson Lorensen on Thursday night.
ADM defeated Newton 69-45 to pick up their 18th win of the year. Lorensen notched a season-high of 41 points, going 12-19 from the floor, including 6-9 from beyond the arc and 11-11 from the free throw line. The Tigers led 16-3 at the end of the first quarter, then the offense accelerated for the Cardinals in the second quarter as they managed to score 16 points, but trailed 33-19 at the halftime break. ADM erupted for 21 points in the third quarter to take a 54-31 advantage to fourth as they cruised to a 69-45 victory.
Besides Lorensen’s 41 for the Tigers, junior Trey Bryte had 13 points, then junior Hudson Shull and senior Cade Fisher combined for 10 points, scoring five each. ADM finishes the 2024-25 regular season with a record of 18-4, as they gear up for the Class 3A Region 7 First Round game on Monday versus Clarke Community at 7pm.
