
West Central Valley will have a Wildcat on the podium this year at the wrestling state tournament as Zach Teague battles for seventh place at 285. Zach Teague comes in as the 8th seed, and has had a great performance coming back in the consolations side of the bracket.
Teague would receive a bye after claiming first place at the district meet in Underwood and would have incredible match in the first round defeating Will Howes by fall in 40 seconds. Teague would go to the all the way to the final period against against Trenton Warner of Nodaway Valley by fall in 5:36 in the quarterfinals moving him to the consolation side of the bracket. Zach would go on to win his first consolation match by fall 28 seconds advancing from the blood round but would fall to Jacob Bishop from Hinton in a tough battle by fall 3:32 claiming his place on the podium as he battles for seventh place today.
