The Adel Public Library is holding a program tomorrow relating to the relationship between humans and artificial intelligence (AI).
Programming Specialist Lily Schwarz is encouraging people 19 years and older to stop by tomorrow evening as Scott Samuelson from Iowa State University will be highlighting the unique aspects of AI, sharing the benefits and challenges it can bring to society. Schwarz emphasizes that the program is not meant to persuade people in a certain direction.
“This is a neither pro or anti-AI program, it’s just meant to give you information about just AI, what it is, what it’s used for, (and) the controversies around it.”
Schwarz illustrates that the program is in partnership with Humanities Iowa, as the library was given a grant in order to make it possible for Samuelson to visit and unveil insight to people. The program is happening for free in the Adel Library Community Room from 6-7pm.
