Following a successful year of protecting people from fraud, Home State Bank in Jefferson is taking it one step further.

Home State Bank is sponsoring the Fraud Awareness event that is taking place tomorrow from 10-11am at the Greene Room Events Center at Wild Rose Casino and Resort in Jefferson. Last year, a similar event was held at Home State Bank that was standing room only. According to Home State Bank, the featured speaker is Al Perales, who is a Consumer Protection Investigator with the Iowa Attorney General’s Office. Bank officials say Perales has 19 years experience as a consumer protection investigator and has seen all kinds of frauds, scams, and has tracked down many thieves and criminals. 

The event is free and open to the public.
