The girls’ basketball team at Greene County High School went 0-23 during the recently completed 2024-25 season. There were no seniors on the team and although there was some varsity experience returning from last season, this squad had little height and was one of the shortest in stature the Rams have ever fielded. Some past letter winners not going out for the sport this season, as well as injured players not being cleared from past surgeries all were factors.
Head coach Tori Ogden told Raccoon Valley Radio she still saw some good things from the players. “They knew it was going to be a hard road, all the girls did. But, honestly, I don’t know I’ve ever seen a team improve the way that they did. I think we came in we really didn’t know what our ceiling was and I think they exceeded their expectations, my expectations, so I think that was huge to see the progress they made throughout the season.”
Cutting down on turnovers and shooting a higher percentage are among the priorities for next season.
