The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys Basketball team quest towards the state tournament stays alive following a win on Thursday versus Grinnell.

It was a battle of the Tigers as ADM defeated Grinnell 70-43 in the Class 3A Region 7 division. The first quarter was back and forth as ADM held a slight 17-11 lead. ADM opened the offense in the second quarter pouring in 20 points, to take a 37-23 advantage into the halftime locker room. The third quarter continued as ADM got 19 more points, limiting Grinnell to five and it was 56-28 after three. Grinnell outscored ADM 15-14 in the fourth quarter, but ultimately fell 70-43.

ADM had great balance with juniors Hudson Lorensen and Trey Bryte, who had 16 points a piece, followed by senior Wyatt Schweiger with 13, and junior Hudson Shull contributing with 12 points. For Grinnell, senior Derek Doty led all scores with 18, then it was senior Brady Coffman with 11 points, and senior Ryan Mcllrath added eight. 

Grinnell ends the season with a record of 12-10, as ADM moves to 20-4 on the year and will now play Pella in the championship game on Monday for a chance to go to the state tournament in Des Moines.
