Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is preparing for some new library events.

Program Director Shelby Van Horn says that there will be two events, with the theme for the month being “Traptastic.” She tells Raccoon Valley Radio why they went with the theme.

“It’s St. Patrick’s Day and just kind of about luck. And we got to thinking, you know, when you think of the game Mouse Trap, you want to be the lucky person that comes out of that game and doesn’t get trapped. So our theme is about designing different traps and trying to stay out of those types of traps. So we just thought it was kind of a fun theme to tie into the month of March.”

Van Horn mentions that the first event will be at the Bayard Library on March 12th, with the second at the Casey Public Library on March 26th.
