A public meeting is taking place tomorrow in Jefferson about a specific proposed project and what landowners have rights to.

The Greene County Democratic Party is hosting Greene County Attorney Thomas Laehn about the rights of property owners as it pertains to an underground liquid carbon dioxide pipeline project that is being proposed by Summit Carbon Solutions. Laehn believes that eminent domain should not be allowed for a private company to use as it violates a landowner’s rights that are guaranteed in the US Constitution. Attendees will also hear ways of how to interact with the pipeline company and its representatives.

The free and open to the public meeting begins at 8:30am tomorrow at the Greene County Historical Museum in Jefferson.
