Both the girls and boys soccer teams at Greene County High School have new head soccer coaches in 2025, but both are familiar names. Chad Black is the boys’ head coach and Wes Anderson is head coach of the girls’ program.
Black was Carl Behne’s assistant from 2018 when the program began until earlier this Winter when Behne stepped aside after moving away from the County. The boys’ program saw great success under the duo with winning seasons every year and three State Tournament appearances. Chad Schwander is now the boys’ assistant coach.
Wes Anderson had been the girls’ assistant coach in recent seasons before moving to the top coaching job. Shelby Mincy is the new assistant coach. The girls’ program has found victories tough to come by, since starting the sport in 2018. It’s anticipated the number of girls playing soccer will be up, as will those with soccer experience.
