The recreational area in the Perry community will be going through changes with upgrades in 2025.
According to Perry Assistant Recreation Director Becky Halling, the McCreary Community Center is revamping a few areas with a space referred to as “Studio Two” that is currently empty, but after budgeting money, the organization is turning it into an agility room. She describes that Studio Three is a weight room and Studio Four provides more Crossfit. Halling outlines that the goal was to supply a new environment to residents.
“We’ll have some turf and some sleds, and just be a completely different experience, which we are super excited to roll out. We have ordered (the) majority of our equipment (and) we are so excited to get that up and going to bring something different to our rec center.”
Halling is hopeful that the new equipment will arrive this summer, so they can start offering classes. She adds that the center is also purchasing a Body Mass Index Scale, which will help people identify their weight, body mass, body fat, and more. Halling is happy to be bringing in new amenities to the McCreary Community Center.
