The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls Basketball season is over, but first year Head Coach Danielle Craig speaks on how much the two seniors meant to the program.

ADM’s season came to an end on February 25th, when they lost to North Polk in the Class 4A Region 2 Championship game. It was the final time that seniors Aniston Tollari and Kelli Storck will sport an ADM Basketball uniform.

Craig tells Raccoon Valley Radio that Tollari is a fierce competitor that would match up with the opposing team’s best player at the point guard position. She calls Tollari a menace defensively and illustrates that she grew as a leader throughout the season. Craig continues that Storck was a vocal leader who was always encouraging her teammates and would set aside time to help develop the younger players. She describes that Tollari and Storck are four year players, which is an amazing feat within itself.

“To be honest, a lot of people have dropped, and didn’t really last four years. So for those two (players) to stay and make the impact they have for our program means a lot. So two key pieces that we’re going to miss, but obviously we’re really proud of them and wish them the best moving forward.”

Although this was Craig’s first season as the head coach, she credits Tollari and Storck for always doing whatever it took for the betterment of the team. ADM won eight more games than the previous year, finishing 15-10 overall and fifth inside the Raccoon River Conference.
