The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.
The Board held a budget workshop for fiscal year 2025-26, where they approved a five percent increase to county funding of the Guthrie County Libraries Association, and set a public hearing for a proposed property tax notice for 10:30am on March 25th.
The Board will next meet in session Thursday. They will hear a County farm lease holder update from Jake Anderson, then discuss the draft surveying permit, possibly entering into a closed session. Once they return from closed session, the Board will consider for approval the contract with the Guthrie County Libraries Association, then hold a fiscal year 2025-26 budget work session in which they will consider for approval contributions to Region XII Council of Governments, Midwest Partnership, the Guthrie County Fair Board, Hungry Canyons, New Opportunities and Western Iowa Tourism. The meeting will begin at 9am in the Board of Supervisors Room. For those unable to attend in person, there is a digital option available via Microsoft Teams.
