The top 16 individuals are set for the Perry Chamber of Commerce’s Big Boom Bracket Battle, as the fundraising begins for the 2025 fireworks drive.

According to Communications Coordinator Tiffany Olejniczak, the chamber just completed the opening round as 33 participants had to accumulate the most “likes” or “loves” on Facebook to advance to the next section. She states that between the 33 participants, a total of 6,092 votes were acquired, and now the 16 who had the highest tally are moving on to the “Sweet-As-Pie” 16. Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti tells Raccoon Valley Radio that this round invites people to give money to whoever they’d like to see progress in the competition.

“Every little bit adds up. You can donate a dollar, you can donate $100, and it all helps go towards the fireworks drive in general, but then it’s a fun way to have that friendly competition as well.”

Pasutti unveils that the top 16 individuals are JP Hulgan, Ashlee McIlhon, Grason Hill, Michael Peterson, Michael Pentico, Ned Menke, Misty Conrad, Paige Scheib, Karma Meraz, Lupita Chavez-Alarcon, Quin Mahler-Moreno, Eddie Diaz, Rosa Gonzalez, Becky Halling, Sarah Reimers, and Jackson VanKirk. She details that people will need to donate through the website, give butter, and the deadline will be this coming Tuesday at noon. To donate, click here.
