The Dallas County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday.

The board set a time and date for a public hearing on the fiscal year 2026 proposed property tax levy to happen on April 1st at 7pm inside the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room at the new administration building in Adel. Other items on the agenda that were approved included a resolution for a drainage district assessment interest rate of seven percent over a five year period, and a pay application for a partial release of retainage for the administration building project.

The board also accepted several items from the Secondary Roads Department pertaining to a resolution for a Traffic Safety Improvement Program Funding Agreement between Madison and Dallas counties in the amount of $432,300, a 28E Agreement with the City of Van Meter for five road projects relating to a new Microsoft Data Center, and a resolution for a motor grader purchase to buy a Ziegler Cat from Altoona, Iowa for $402,709.66.

No more action items were presented to the board as they also held workshops for the Dallas County Emergency Medical Services and Human Resources Department.
