A baseball player from Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School will be staying in Iowa as he pursues his athletic career in college.

ADM senior Grant Jansen is continuing his baseball career at Wartburg College in Waverly following graduation this spring. He was one of the primary pitchers for the Tigers and during the 2024 season, he finished with a record of 2-4 with 47 innings played, racking up 43 strikeouts and walked 21 batters. Offensively, Jansen had 95 at-bats acquiring 26 hits, scoring 10 runs, and had 17 RBIs. 

ADM finished 16-15 overall (9-7; 3rd inside the Raccoon River Conference), losing to North Polk 6-5 in the Class 3A Substate 2 Second Round. Jansen will look to take the Tigers further this year as the first game is set for May 19th in Adel versus Southeast Polk.
