The Greene County Rams begin the girls’ indoor track & field season on March 11 inside the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls for the A.D. Dickinson Relays. Ram head coach Derek Merk has more than 30 girls out for the sport and four of them competed at the 2024 State Meet.

Senior Emma Ewalt made it to the Class 2A portion of the State Meet at Drake Stadium in Des Moines in the discus throw. Junior Kaycee Pittman has run the 800 meters in the last two State meets, while juniors Addison Gannon and Savanah Lansman both ran on relays at State as sophomores.

Other letter winners also return for the Rams. That experience, along with the strong number of girls on the team, have Coach Merk optimistic about the 2025 seasons.
