In their February meeting, the Panorama School Board got their first look at the master calendar for the 2025-26 year.
Superintendent Kasey Huebner says that the new calendar mirrors the 2024-25 calendar fairly closely for the most part, but that there are a few differences. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that people should know that it may change though.
“Obviously we will start up first day of school on the 25th because there’s a state law that says we can’t start until the 23rd of August. I know there’s some bills out there that are circulating in the legislature that could allow us to start earlier. So if anything like that passes, we will look at amending this calendar and moving it up.”
Huebner mentions that the public hearing for the 2025-26 master calendar was set for March 10th, the next regular meeting of the Panorama School Board. He adds that after the public hearing, should there be no objections to the calendar, it should be adopted.
