There are a few days left for organizations to apply for grant funds for specific programs and uses.

Katlynn Mechaelsen, who is the Greene County Treasurer and is a committee member of the Greene County Opioid Settlement Funds Allocation Committee, is still accepting grant applications until March 15th. She points out that applications that focus on the prevention and abatement of opioids, as well as provisions of treatments for those with addictions to opioids will be highly considered, as those are key purposes for these funds.

Mechealsen notes that groups and organizations that are eligible include and are not limited to schools, hospitals, treatment centers, prevention organizations and medical and substance abuse providers within the county. Copies of the grant applications can be found by clicking here or by going to the County Treasurer’s Office inside the Greene County Courthouse.
